What can I find in AddLance?

How does it works?

You have to publish your project with as many details as possible, so enabling our freelancers to activate participating to an auction were you can compare offers and chose that one with the best quality/cost ratio. You can start discussing privately with each bidder freelance. Once you will have chosen the best proposal, your freelance will be enabled to work for you under clear terms both for time and for results.

Do I have to pay anything?

No. Publishing a project is free and without any commission or constraint, in the same way as you receive free offers from our freelancers. You can discuss freely the project details. AddLance retains the right to approve projects and modify them before publishing.

How can I describe a project?

Firstly, you have to choose the category of the project, for then selecting the specific activity associated with the abilities that are usually required. You can delete and insert others. If you don’t find some specific abilities in the list, you can add the skill you’re looking for. The title must describe the goal of the project while the description must be detailed as much as enough to provide all the information necessary to the freelance in order to prepare the offer. It is forbidden to include personal contact information into project description.

How can I choose the budget size?

The available budget is a fundamental aspect, enabling to attract the best freelancers. If it is too low you won’t receive any offer. The lower budget size interval is useful only for tasks that employ the freelancer only for few days.

What is the “Comments” section useful for?

In this part of the project page client can add public comments to explain better its own project. All the comments are visible to freelancers so that everyone has the same information before making his own offer. This ensures the effectiveness of the auction and it avoids misunderstandings.

Why assigning a project? How can I assign a project?

A project expires after 10 days, as soon it is approved and you receive bids you can assign it. In the list of bids on your project it is sufficient to attribute the project to the chosen freelance, at this point the project will be visible only to the client and to the winner freelance, these will be able to collaborate online. After having assigned the project, at the end of the collaboration there will be the possibility to give references and in the same way to receive references. In this way it is possible to create an on-line reputation judging the work done.

Quotations, invoices, payments

Quotations (offers) sent from freelances are intended with included VAT and all-comprehensive. Invoices will be issued by the freelance because AddLance is not an intermediary. The two parts (client and freelance) will decide autonomously how to organize payments. AddLance has not accountability on the project execution.

What happens if I don’t find the freelance I’m looking for or I’m not satisfied of the freelance I’ve selected?

After the approval of your project by AddLance, you will receive the best offers. If you don’t find the freelance that you’re seeking, you’re not obliged to assign the project: no constraints at all! If, otherwise, you’ve assigned the project but the freelance doesn’t satisfy you, you can interrupt the collaboration in whatever moment. You can delete the project, losing it, or re-assign it to another freelance that took part to the auction.

What happens at the end of the project?

Once the project finishes and you can add your references to the freelance. At the same time your freelance will leave his own references for you. The mutual evaluation allows to set up a meritocratic relationship and protects you from unfair behavior.

I have a client account, how can I cancel my account?

To cancel your client account it is sufficient to send an e-mail to service@addlance.com with the indication of your own username and registration mail. We will usually cancel your account by the same day. Please note that if you have a double account you must ask to cancel both.

Forgot password?

if you forgot the password you can recover it by clicking on “forgot password”: a mail will be send to you. Please note that this is valid only if you have already validated your mail. If you haven’t received any signup mail please contact us!

Can’t access to the platform?

The access to the platform can be done only after mail validation: check your mail after signup and click on the link we sent.
Check also your spam folder. Otherwise in the login window you can ask for a new validation mail.

Why my project is not approved?

The approval procedure could take few hours. If your project is still not approved it means that AddLance standards aren’t satisfied. We can approve only projects with a remuneration and with a good level of details.

Can I change mail or username?

Yes, please send us a mail from the mail account you are registered with the related info.

Can a project be assigned when bid amount and timeline are undefined?

Yes, the bid amount will be the max value of the budget window, the timeline becomes 30 days. All these numbers are not binding: client and freelance have to define these values during the project.

What does “To Be Defined” budget mean?

“To Be Define” means that client is not able to define a budget range for that work so the quote is open and the minimum value is 10€. The credit cost is the same as the 100€-1000€ even it could be higher than 1000€.

I’m a private person: can I sign up?

Check if this is possible according to your country law. In some countries your total revenue without a VAT number could be limited. Even if you are a private person you have to send your invoice according to your country rules. In case of a private person you must provide your social security number or fiscal code in order to identify you.

How does it works?

Once you have signed up and completed your profile, you can apply to projects sending your own offer. You can apply only on projects inside your professional category. Once your bid is sent, you can start sending messages to your potential client. The messages are private. When a project is assigned to you, you can keep on AddLance all the documentation and messages. After project completion you can add and receive references: this increase your visibility and the chance of winning a new project.

Are there commissions on the project assigned?

No. AddLance doesn’t apply any commission on the assigned project budget. Earnings are all for the freelance.

How much does it cost?

Signing up is free!  Each offer sent reduces the credits at disposition of the profile. You can buy credit only when you need without membership or hidden costs. Once the offer has been sent, you can discuss freely and exchange documents and information. Bought and not used credits don’t expire and if you want you can ask for a refund. If client does not view you offer before project expiration, credits will be restored.

Credit purchase

AddLance puts at your disposition several credits packages to be bought using Paypal. Credits acquired don’t have any time limit and non-exploited credits are reimbursable at any moment. In the webpage of plans are visible prices for the procurement and for reimbursement. It is necessary to insert your own Paypal account mail or personal code to proceed with the reimbursement.

How can I complete an offer?

The offer is constituted by an economic part comprising all the project including VAT and a descriptive part were days necessary carry out the project are specified. You can also attach a file. If you are not sure about bid amount and timeline you can decide these values afterwards. Once a offer is sent you can freely discuss with your potential client.

How can I be sure that the customer will assign the project? I sent an offer but the customer doesn’t answer. What can I do?

The client can decide not to assign the project if he doesn’t find an appropriate offer. AddLance does not guarantee that the project will be assigned and that negotiation will be concluded successfully . AddLance checks and selects projects at the very best of its own possibilities and aims to put in contact request and offer. Our advice is to read carefully the project and to be sure that yours skills match client needs.

Even if I bought credits I haven’t won a project yet. What can I do?

AddLance collects projects and allows you to find customers without any difficulty, but also on the web clients are increasingly won over time by improving communication, sending competitive quotes and creating your portfolio online. With patience you win the first projects and with excellent references will be even easier to find new clients. You’ll want to insist that goes wrong and you can claim compensation for unused credits as reported in your profile.

Is there any dispute support?

AddLance has no responsibility for projects and payments. Both technical and legal disputes must be resolved outside the website. Anyway there is all our commitment to build a community of professional partners with strong integrity. We constantly monitor reputations and we can expel anyone menaces you or our work. Even a paying member can be expelled if her/his performance is low on average.

The project has been posted with a budget that I consider too low. What can I do?

If the project budget is too low you can ignore and concentrate on more interesting projects. AddLance nevertheless leave the faculty to propose an offer at a higher cost than the project budget. If the client realize that the budget specified is too low, can nevertheless assign the project to you.

What happens at the end of the project?

When the project is completed, client adds references to you. At the same time you will leave references for him/her. The mutual evaluation allows to set up a meritocratic relationship and protects you from unfair behavior.

What BID and Outside your Category mean?

“BID” means that you can send your bid for that project by clicking on the BID button
“Outside your Category” means that you can’t send your bid because the project is outside your two categories

How credits are reverted?

AddLance will revert the paid credits on a project if the client doesn’t review the bid before the project expiration: this is an assurance that your money are wisely invested.

Invoice generation

After a credit purchase, you can download the invoice form the invoice page you can find in the menu.

What does “PAUSE” project mean?

It means that client is evaluating the current bids and he/she does not need additional bids

I have a freelance account, how can I cancel my account?

You can find the cancellation function in the profile settings
